Mendota Heights, Minn. – July 2016 – Cemstone, an Upper Midwest leader in ready-mixed, engineered and architectural concrete, as well as aggregates, announced that John D. Lee, P.E., LEED® AP, has joined the company in the position of Business Development Manager. Lee will bring to Cemstone his experience as a Professional Engineer with a proven track record to our Sales Division.
John will be working with owners, specifiers, contractors and municipalities in further establishing Cemstone as the leader in supplying construction material related products. John’s efforts will be focused on the development and design phase where he will promote Cemstone’s products and services, including concrete buildings/insulated concrete form construction (ICF’s), concrete pavements and Cemstone’s family of performance based engineered products including Aridus®, Rapid Pave™ and T25.
John has been working in the Twin Cities construction industry for over 25 years. Early in his career he worked for Twin City Testing (TCT) where he was responsible for the development and implementation of their International Code Council (ICC) testing programs. After 13 years at TCT, he joined Cemstone in 2004 where he developed the Engineered Sales program as well as managed Cemstone’s Civil and Engineered Sales group. In 2011, John returned to TCT, now known as Element Materials Technology, where he oversaw their Building Products Evaluation Group which focused on the testing of all types of concrete anchors in accordance with International Code Council (ICC) standards. John helped Element become one of the leaders in the world for this type of testing.
Mr. Lee attended the University of Minnesota where he received a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering in 1992. He is a member of American Concrete Institute (ACI) as well as the American Society for Standards and Materials (ASTM) and is registered professional engineer in Minnesota, Florida and North Carolina.
