Earlier this spring, on April 22, 2026, our team planted five new trees outside of our Mankato Ready-Mix Plant for Earth Day. Our Environmental Manager, Vanessa De La Vega Meza, joined the Mankato Ready-Mix Plant team for the planting, creating a hands-on opportunity to make a positive local impact and reinforce the importance of environmental stewardship. World Environment Day encourages worldwide awareness and action to protect the environment. It serves as a reminder that meaningful progress often begins with practical local efforts, and that actions such as planting trees can help support cleaner air, stronger ecosystems, and a more sustainable future for generations to come.
“Earlier this year, I had the opportunity to spend the morning in Mankato planting trees alongside our team,” said Vanessa De La Vega Meza. “It was a meaningful reminder of why we continue to give back to the environment in tangible ways. Planting trees is a simple action, but it creates a lasting impact by improving air quality, supporting wildlife, and strengthening the communities we’re part of. Continuing this tradition each year reflects our commitment to doing our part, knowing that even small efforts can grow into something much bigger over time.”
As we celebrate World Environment Day, we recognize that protecting the environment requires consistent action over time. By planting trees each year, Cemstone is taking practical steps to support cleaner air, stronger local ecosystems, and a healthier future for the next generation. We remain committed to finding meaningful ways to care for the environment and make a lasting difference in the places we live and work.
