At Cemstone, sustainability is more than a goal, it is a responsibility we are proud to uphold. As we celebrate World Environment Day, we are reflecting on an annual tradition led by our Environmental Team that demonstrates our continued commitment to caring for the environment and supporting the communities we serve.

Earlier this spring, on April 22, 2026, our team planted five new trees outside of our Mankato Ready-Mix Plant for Earth Day. Our Environmental Manager, Vanessa De La Vega Meza, joined the Mankato Ready-Mix Plant team for the planting, creating a hands-on opportunity to make a positive local impact and reinforce the importance of environmental stewardship. World Environment Day encourages worldwide awareness and action to protect the environment. It serves as a reminder that meaningful progress often begins with practical local efforts, and that actions such as planting trees can help support cleaner air, stronger ecosystems, and a more sustainable future for generations to come.
