Jordan, Minn batch plant earns NRMCA’s Green-Star Certification for the Second Time
The NRMCA Green-Star Program recognizes those facilities that have achieved environmental excellence through the use of an Environmental Management System. The program was created in collaboration with the Environmental Protection Agency’s Green Highways Partnership and inspired by the 10 Guiding Principles of Environmental Stewardship.
Among the 10 Guiding Principles of Environmental Stewardship that illustrate Cemstone’s environmental commitments are: a commitment by top management, compliance assurance, measurement and control improvement, training and development, awareness and outreach, and research and development.
The Jordan plant has made many improvements to become more environmentally friendly like installing a digital well meter to better understand the site’s water balance for potable and clarified water use.
