A bold new chapter in Minnesota’s fight to end veteran homelessness began last spring with the launch of Veteran Village—the state’s first multi-unit housing community dedicated to veterans experiencing or at risk of homelessness.
Located on Rahn Road in Eagan, the $5.5 million development will provide 22 thoughtfully designed homes, including 15 single-level, one-bedroom units with accessibility features and 7 larger walkout units with three bedrooms for veterans with families. When complete, the community will offer safe, stable housing for up to 36 veterans and their loved ones.
Each home is designed for both comfort and independence, featuring wheelchair- friendly doors, roll-in showers, ADA-compliant laundry spaces, and quality finishes such as quartz counter-tops, stainless steel appliances, and durable flooring. Inviting exteriors and shared amenities—including covered patios, grilling stations, and sidewalks—are crafted to encourage camaraderie and connection. The project was made possible through a transformative partnership among the Housing First Minnesota Foundation, Lennar, the Lennar Foundation, the Minnesota Assistance Council for Veterans (MACV), Mount Calvary Lutheran Church, Pulte Homes of Minnesota, and countless industry partners who contributed labor, materials, and financial support.
Cemstone, in partnership with Manor Concrete, was proud to play a vital role in this mission. Cemstone supplied and placed approximately 850 cubic yards of ready-mixed concrete, while Manor Concrete utilized Cemstone pumps for footings and foundations. Their combined efforts delivered reliable service throughout construction—helping bring this vision to life and advancing the goal of ending veteran homelessness in Minnesota.
