Cemstone is the Central Regional winner of the 2016 NRMCA Commitment to Environmental Excellence Award
Mendota Heights, Minn. – September 23, 2016 – Cemstone, has been chosen as the Central Regional 1st-place winner in the 2016 National Ready Mixed Concrete Association (NRMCA) Commitment to Environmental Excellence Awards competition. The competition, for which Cemstone’s Mankato, Minn. facility received the award, is for the 16-state Central Region.

Through the Commitment to Environmental Excellence Awards competition, the NRMCA’s Operations, Environment, and Safety committee salutes companies that have not only met, but surpassed governmental compliance measures and demonstrated a commitment to environmental excellence through plant and staff investment. The competition was judged on 10 separate criteria that demonstrated the company’s commitment to the environment through innovative management.
The National Ready Mixed Concrete Association was established in 1930 and operates through a partnership agreement with state associations. Its mission is to responsibly represent and serve the entire ready mixed concrete industry through leadership, promotion and education.
