GOLF COURSE CLUBHOUSE
By asking one simple question, Cemstone Sales Representative, Brad Scott, successfully helped a customer prevent a long delay due to supply chain issues. The question — Have you considered using insulated concrete forms (ICFs)? After meeting with Cemstone’s Business and Proposal Development teams, the architect and the owner of Emerald Greens Golf Course in Hastings, MN agreed to convert the original plan of precast concrete walls over to ICFs. The conversion saved them 3 months of time that would have otherwise been lost.
The two-story 28,000 square foot addition to the existing building used 5,000 units of 8” and 12” Fox Block ICFs and accessories, 2,600 pieces of 20’ long #5 rebar, and Cemstone pumped 600 cubic yards of concrete in the walls alone. Since completion, the building now has an event center on the upper level and an area with golf simulators on the lower level. By using ICFs, this building is now storm safe, energy efficient and offers noise reduction. The structure can withstand flying debris traveling over 100 mph and sound from events held in the building will not carry and disturb surrounding neighbors. In October 2022, a project site tour was held and customers were able to learn about the project, receive ICF education and tour the progress. John Lee, Brad Scott, and Brad Scholl of Cemstone were on site answering questions about ICFs and demonstrating different ways they can be used.
