Cemstone Companies, a leader in the ready-mixed concrete and construction materials industry, is pleased to announce the addition of Scott Wasbotten, EIT. as Business Development Engineer. Wasbotten will be working with designers, counties, municipalities, and contractors in Iowa, Minnesota, and Wisconsin. He will focus on the development and design phase of construction to promote resilient and sustainable products including concrete pavements and buildings and Cemstone’s family of performance based engineered products.
Wasbotten has been working in the transportation, infrastructure, and construction industry for the last 5 years as a Transportation Design Engineer for Bolton and Menk. While at Bolton and Menk, he created construction documents, assessed and optimized traffic flow, analyzed engineering data to develop informed recommendations, prepared cost estimates based on project specifics, communicated plans with contractors and the public, and inspected completed work to ensure safety and adherence to MnDOT standards.
Wasbotten attended the University of Minnesota-Duluth where he received a Bachelor of Science degree in civil engineering in 2019. Scott is also a 12-year member of our armed forces where he serves as a Fuel Shop Technician for the United States Air Force. Cemstone thanks him for his service.
