On March 8, 2020, John Lee, P.E., was named Buildings Promoter of the Year at NRMCA’s convention in Las Vegas, NV. As Director of Business Development for Cemstone, John’s approach is to provide solutions. John integrates deeply into the Cemstone sales managers’ and account representatives’ activities, prompting them to uncover opportunities, with their accounts, local municipalities, designers, building owners and general contractors. John adapts to each of these audiences, customizing his approach and presentations to make the content pertinent and to prompt questions from the audience.
John has conducted over 50 Lunch and Learn sessions for Build with Strength/ICF (Insulating Concrete Forms) building systems. His P.E. credential allows him to tackle design issues and questions from his audience and embeds him with these groups as a fellow P.E.
John was instrumental in forming the Build with Strength (BWS) Committee with the Minnesota Concrete Council (MCC) to bring BWS topics to the membership, and brought industry experts into discuss these options and share national success stories. This committee is identifying how to oppose tall wood and stick framing construction by bringing in pro concrete/ICF architects to speak to local chapters, formulating booth content and messaging for Minnesota school superintendents, architects and at contractor shows in 2020, all under John’s direction. John serves as chairman of the MCC Build with Strength Committee, as well as co-chair of the NRMCA Promotion Committee. Congratulations John!
