Nestled along the west bank of the Red Cedar River on Highway 29, Lucette Brewery isn’t just a place for great craft brews. It’s a hub for dining and events, hosting more than 50 gatherings annually. With the heavy traffic of patrons, the gravel parking lot didn’t match the brewery’s vibrant, welcoming atmosphere. Enter Bob and John, who worked closely with the owner to present the idea of a sleek, durable, AND sustainable concrete parking lot. They explained how it would not only boost the curb appeal but act as a “welcome mat” for visitors.
John Lee took the lead on designing a top-tier concrete pavement plan, offering a detailed design for the owner and potential contractors. Meanwhile, Bob Biederman teamed up with Craig Wildenberg of Atlas Specialty Contracting, ensuring the project would be in expert hands. The result? A sprawling 58,000 square feet of polished concrete, completed with over 1,200 cubic yards of Cemstone Ready-Mixed Concrete, sourced from Cemstone’s Wilson and Durand Wisconsin plants.
