September 25, 2026, Mendota Heights, MN – The Cemstone Aggregates Division is pleased to announce the acquisition of the mining operations previously operated by Holst Excavating Inc. in Hager City, Wisconsin. This addition strengthens Cemstone’s supply capabilities and enhances its ability to serve both internal operations and external customers across the region. Holst Excavating Inc. will continue to operate as an independent company, while Cemstone takes over ownership and management of the mining operations at Hager City.
The Hager City location represents a strategic investment in Cemstone’s vertically in
tegrated supply chain and reinforces the company’s commitment to delivering reliable, high-quality materials to the construction industry. By expanding its resource network, Cemstone will increase production capacity, improve operational flexibility, and support continued growth while meeting the evolving needs of customers throughout the region.

The Hager City pit provides access to significant reserves and a strategic geographic location that will help improve material availability, transportation efficiency, and overall service reliability. The expanded resource base will support infrastructure, commercial, residential, and industrial construction projects across western Wisconsin, southeastern Minnesota, and surrounding markets.
With this addition, Cemstone further strengthens its position as a trusted supplier of aggregates, ready-mix concrete, and construction materials. The company remains committed to building strong relationships with customers, employees, suppliers, and the local communities it serves.
