For the 2024-2025 winter construction season, Cemstone’s Extreme Cold Weather Service Policies ensure the delivery of high-quality ready-mixed concrete and concrete placing services across Iowa, Minnesota, and Wisconsin. This policy not only guarantees the integrity and performance of our products but also prioritizes the safety of our employees and equipment, ensuring that all operations are conducted smoothly and securely even in the harshest conditions.
POLICY HIGHLIGHTS
• Delivery Delays: Deliveries may be delayed or canceled if the temperature is -5°F or below, wind chill is -20°F or below, or other extreme conditions exist.
• Factors Considered: Overnight low temperatures, road conditions, fog, ice, blowing snow, visibility, distance to the job site, and travel advisories.
• Management Discretion: All deliveries are at the discretion of Cemstone management in each region.
EXCEPTIONS:
In rare cases, deliveries may occur outside the policy and as a result, contractors will be responsible for any quality issues due to protection or driving conditions.
During extreme conditions, order a minimum of two yards of concrete and ensure timely unloading to maintain quality.
Standard Delivery Hours:
Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM
