On the evening of November 11, 2025, John Colbert, Cemstone driver of Minneapolis, encountered a young child, approximately five years old, playing in the cement pit while he was backing into the washout area at our plant. John acted immediately, contacting the police and bringing the child into the drivers’ room to clean off his socks and shoes, which were covered in cement. His quick thinkingand calm  ensured the child’s safety and prevented potential cement burns.

We’d like to thank John Colbert for his attentiveness and commend him for responding with such care. His actions reflect Cemstone’s strong commitment to  safety—both on and off the job site.
