we demand safety

the cornerstone of our legacy

Built on a century of strength. Driven by a culture of care.

At Cemstone, safety isn’t a policy — it’s our promise. It’s how we honor our past, protect our present, and build a stronger, safer future together.

Built Into Everything We Do

At Cemstone, safety and sustainability are the foundation of everything we do.

We believe protecting people and preserving the environment go hand in hand — and true responsibility means committing fully to both.

Our Culture of Safety

Our safety culture goes beyond daily routines.
We meet and exceed industry standards and regulatory requirements to ensure every employee works in a safe and well-maintained environment. These practices not only keep our people safe — they also reduce environmental impact and operational risk.

Sustainability for the Future

We’re advancing sustainable solutions that protect natural resources, strengthen communities, and support long-term growth.

This ongoing commitment reinforces our social license to operate and ensures we remain a trusted partner for generations to come.

Building a Stronger Tomorrow

From safer job sites to smarter, more sustainable materials and practices, Cemstone is committed to building a stronger, safer, and more resilient future — for our employees, our customers, and the communities we serve.

OUR SAFETY IN ACTION

Cemstone’s commitment to safety is reflected in our ongoing programs and initiatives:

SAFETY AWARDS

Safety Awards

Cemstone has earned multiple safety awards from the NRMCA, IRMCA, and ARM, proving that demanding safety is more than a priority – it’s a core value.

These honors reflect our dedication to exceeding industry standards and protecting our employees, customers, and communities every day.

ONSITE OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY

OnSite Occupational Therapy

Cemstone partners with OnSite Solutions to bring physical therapists directly to Cemstone locations.  By providing on-site physical therapy and ergonomic consultations, this program helps employees address discomfort early, improve movement techniques, and prevent injuries before they occur. As a result, Cemstone has seen a significant reduction in soft-tissue injuries, which are among the most common and costly workplace incidents. Beyond the tangible safety improvements, this initiative demonstrates Cemstone’s strong commitment to employee well-being, fostering a culture where health and safety are prioritized. It also enhances productivity and morale by showing employees that their long-term health matters.

MONTHLY SAFETY MEMOS

Monthly Safety Memos

Sharing our monthly safety bulletins with customers and community partners provides multiple benefits by reinforcing a shared commitment to safety and fostering trust. These bulletins keep customers informed about best practices, regulatory updates, and seasonal hazards, helping them reduce risks on their own job sites. Regular communication demonstrates Cemstone’s proactive approach to safety, reinforcing our role as a knowledgeable and reliable partner. Consistent safety messaging promotes collaboration, reduces incidents, and enhances our relationships with customers and community partners.

DEDICATED SAFETY TEAM

Dedicated Safety Team

Cemstone’s dedicated safety team is the driving force behind our company-wide commitment to creating a culture that Demands Safety. This team leads proactive initiatives across all divisions, ensuring that best practices, compliance standards, and innovative safety solutions are consistently implemented. By collaborating with every department, the safety team fosters engagement, accountability, and continuous improvement, making safety an integral part of daily operations rather than an afterthought. Their leadership not only reduces risk but also empowers employees to take ownership of safe work practices, reinforcing Cemstone’s position as an industry leader in safety excellence.

TRUCK TELEMATICS & CAMERAS

Truck Telematics and Cameras

Truck telematics combined with safety cameras deliver powerful safety benefits for Cemstone’s fleet of trucks by providing real-time visibility into both vehicle performance and driver behavior. Telematics systems track critical data such as speed, braking patterns, and GPS location, while integrated cameras offer visual context for events like harsh braking, near misses, or collisions. This dual approach enables managers to identify unsafe driving habits, verify incidents, and coach drivers effectively using actual footage rather than assumptions. Cameras also help protect drivers from false claims and improve accountability, while telematics alerts can flag mechanical issues early to prevent breakdowns or hazardous failures. Together, these technologies support compliance, reduce fatigue-related risks, and create a culture of transparency and continuous improvement—ultimately lowering accident rates, liability exposure, and enhancing safety for Cemstone and the public.

ACPA CERTIFICATION

ACPA Certification

Cemstone demonstrates its unwavering commitment to safety and technical excellence by putting all placing division pump operators through the American Concrete Pumping Association (ACPA) Operator Certification Program. This nationally recognized program goes beyond basic industry requirements, ensuring operators are trained to the highest standards in both safety protocols and technical proficiency. Certified operators gain a deep understanding of equipment operation, jobsite hazards, and best practices for preventing accidents, which significantly reduces risk for customers and crews. By investing in ACPA certification, Cemstone not only exceeds industry standards but also delivers operators who are confident, skilled, and prepared to perform safely and efficiently on every project.

DRIVER TRAINERS & CDL PROGRAMS

WEEKLY "DEMAND SAFETY" FOCUS

Weekly "Demand Safety" Focus

These concise, targeted messages keep safety top-of-mind by highlighting specific risks, best practices, and seasonal hazards before they become incidents. Regular communication helps prevent complacency, ensures alignment with company safety goals, and provides employees with actionable steps they can take immediately. By consistently engaging the workforce, these reminders encourage proactive behavior, reduce the likelihood of accidents, and demonstrate leadership’s commitment to protecting people and assets.
