Nestled in the heart of downtown Minneapolis, Target Field has been the proud home of the Minnesota Twins since its opening in 2010. This state-of-the-art ballpark replaced the Metrodome as the team’s home stadium, bringing open-air baseball back to Minnesota for the first time since 1981. Construction on Target Field began in 2007, and when all was said and done, the project required a staggering 100,000 cubic yards of concrete—enough to fill roughly 30 Olympic-sized swimming pools! The stadium – which Cemstone participated in building – was built with durability in mind, designed to withstand Minnesota’s harsh winters while providing an amazing game-day experience for fans.
Target Field isn’t just about baseball—it’s about the atmosphere. With excellent views of the Minneapolis skyline, an intimate seating design that keeps fans close to the action, and a massive scoreboard that enhances the experience, it’s considered one of the best stadiums in Major League Baseball.

–The stadium can seat nearly 39,000 fans.
–It features heated viewing areas and a drainage system to handle unpredictable Minnesota weather.
–The “Minnie & Paul” sign in center field lights up for home runs and Twins victories.
–It was the first MLB stadium to receive LEED Silver certification for its eco-friendly design.
Our company has had many special connections to the Minnesota Twins over the years. Beyond our role in helping build the stadium, we’ve been part of some truly memorable moments. In summer 2021, a group of our employees had the honor of singing the seventh-inning stretch during a game, a proud and unforgettable experience (photo below). Our connection to the Twins also includes our 3rd generation CEO Tom Becken throwing out the first pitch at a game, creating a ready-mixed concrete truck featuring the Twins logo, and even hosting VIPs at our office—including T.C. Bear and Gary Gaetti, former Twins third baseman.
